Mission: Step 1 of 3

The Islanders did exactly what they had to do today in Philadelphia and got out of twon with a 4-2 victory.

Ryan Smyth and Trent Hunter had way solid games this afternoon for our boys. Dubie was as sharp as he had to be; making 28 saves and even was named the game's first star. Jason Blake has two helpers as well.

Richard Park's goal halfway through the second was a thing of beauty. Seriously, the Islanders' pro scouting staff has done a hell of a job this season. Guys like Park and Andy Hilbert give you everything they have every shift. Park's goal was a valiant one-man effort. Remarkable diving hustle while falling down in front of Flyers' goalie Antero Niitiymaki. Seriously, check Islanders TV to see it.
