Brodeur

I have nothing but mad respect for Martin Brodeur. The guy is simply the best goalie of this generation. But, c'mon, Marty. Take a freaking night off.

The Devils are--and always have been--the best counterpunching team in the NHL. Now, counterpunching is great for victories and Stanley Cups and everything like that; but it is damn boring-ass to watch. They are a committed bunch who are disciplined and patient. Have I mentioned boring?

The Isles had very few good scoring chances last night. The Devils stayed back, waited for the counterpunch, and took advantage of mistakes. That is what they do.
